05/15/2010 - Mobile, AL (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Suzann Pettersen and Brittany Lincicome joined Hall of Famer Se Ri Pak atop the leaderboard after Saturday's third round of the Bell Micro LPGA Classic.
Pettersen fired a seven-under 65, while Lincicome used a late eagle to shoot a five-under 67. Pak, the second-round leader, posted a four-under 68 and the trio finished 54 holes at 13-under 203.
Jee Young Lee (66), Na Yeon Choi (66) and Azahara Munoz (67) shared fourth place at 11-under 205, which was one shot better than Janice Moodie, who had a five-under 67 on Saturday on The Crossings course.
Song-Hee Kim posted a five-under 67 on Saturday and is eighth at minus-nine.
Pettersen parlayed a strong run in the middle of her front nine to soar up the leaderboard. She birdied the par-five fourth and par-four fifth to reach eight-under par for the championship. Pettersen eagled the sixth and suddenly found herself a contender.
At the par-four 10th, Pettersen ran home a 30-foot birdie putt. She made a 10- footer for birdie at No. 11 and was now tied for the lead with Pak at 12-under par.
After three straight pars, Pettersen converted a four-foot birdie putt at the 15th. She didn't take advantage of either back-nine par five, but still finds herself in good shape.
"I've been putting really good, but I'm not striking the ball as well as I'd love to do," said Pettersen, a six-time LPGA Tour winner. "I managed to get around. I don't need to hit it great to get around a golf course."
Pettersen may be in good shape on the leaderboard, but she's not in great physical shape. Pettersen is battling hip issues and conceded the injury is hurting her game.
"It's a huge factor. I can't get to my left side," acknowledged Pettersen. "It hurts when I walk. Rest is pretty much the answer to a torn muscle, but I don't have that time right now."
Lincicome plodded along early with a bogey at the first hole, but birdies at three and six left her nine-under for the tournament at the turn. She birdied two of her first four holes on the back nine, then joined the lead with a putt at 16.
Lincicome reached the par-five 16th green in two. She ran home a 30-foot eagle putt to tie for the lead at 13-under par and looked like she might grab first by herself.
She missed a nine-foot birdie effort at 17 and parred the last. Lincicome is in great position for a fourth LPGA Tour title and first since her major breakthrough last year at the Kraft Nabisco.
Pak hasn't hoisted a trophy since 2007 and looked like she might run out to a huge 54-hole lead. She sank a 12-foot birdie putt at the second, a three- footer at the fourth and a seven-footer at No. 6 to reach 12-under par.
Pak was two clear, but failed to get anything going for a while after the birdie at six.
She had some decent looks throughout the second nine, but it wasn't until the 16th that she capitalized. Pak nearly made a 45-foot eagle try at the par-five hole, but settled for a tap-in birdie and a share of first.
At the closing hole, Pak hit her approach 12 feet short of the flag stick. Her birdie putt was never on line, but she has a piece of the third-round lead, which is very good for her.
Pak has won nine out of 10 times with the third-round lead on tour.
NOTES: Defending champion Angela Stanford shot a four-under 68 and is ninth at eight-under 208...Michelle Wie carded a four-over 76 and is last among players who made the 36-hole cut...With inclement weather forecast for Sunday, tee times were moved up with golfers in threesomes off both the first and 10th tees.

El Duque expected to throw Tuesday
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- New York Mets pitcher Orlando Hernandez, sidelined at spring training because of arthritis in his neck, is expected to resume throwing on Tuesday.
Hernandez received a cortisone shot Thursday after leaving camp and returning to New York to have his neck examined. The 41-year-old right-hander is penciled in as the team's No. 2 starter behind Tom Glavine.
El Duque's health is a major issue for the Mets, who won the NL East in 2007 and came within one victory of the World Series. Their aging and unsettled rotation is a big question mark this year.
MySportsbook.com has the Mets as -110 favorites to repeat as NL East champions odds.
Hernandez went 11-11 with a 4.66 ERA last season, including 9-7 with a 4.09 ERA in 20 starts after the Mets acquired him from Arizona in late May. But he missed the playoffs because of a torn calf muscle.
New York already is without Pedro Martinez, out until at least midseason following rotator cuff surgery. Among those competing for starting jobs are prospects Mike Pelfrey, Philip Humber and Jason Vargas, plus veterans Chan Ho Park, Jorge Sosa and Aaron Sele.
Notes: Mets manager Willie Randolph is excited about two new utility players he could have on his bench: Damion Easley and David Newhan. ''Their value is really all over the place,'' Randolph said. Easley can play anywhere in the infield and could be used as an emergency outfielder, though Randolph said he would prefer to keep the veteran in the infield. Newhan, meanwhile, can play second base, third or any outfield position for the Mets. ''I love versatility,'' Randolph said. ''I love guys that can give me options when I need them to step in.''
