08/26/2010 - London, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Wolverhampton acquired Chelsea's Michael Mancienne on a season-long loan Thursday, marking the 22-year-old's third loan to the Wolves.
Mancienne joined Wolverhampton for the first time in 2008-09, helping the club earn promotion from the Championship to the Premier League. He returned to the club last season, and has agreed to another season-long loan to Wolves.
He played just six times in five years for Chelsea but made 33 appearances for Wolverhampton last season. Mancienne, a center back or defensive midfielder, has earned one call-up by England, but was an unused substitute.
The England U-21 player has three years remaining on his Chelsea contract. He will be eligible to play for Wolverhampton on Saturday against Newcastle.
